I dont get this at all....Chem geek really helped

These are simple precipitation reactions. I think you call them double replacement reactions over the pond.

Just swap the parts of the chemicals around. The silver salts on the right hand side are precipitates, and insoluble. They should be the only chemicals left in the ionic equation.

NH4OH + AgNO3 ----> AgOH + NH4NO3

OH- + Ag+ ----> AgOH

KI + AgNO3 -----> AgI + KNO3

I- + Ag+ ----> AgI
