I got mine 20 years ago, and it didn't hurt. Ok, I was sore for about 4 days. It itched while it was healing because I got it in the summer, when it was hot, and I had an outdoor job. Also I wore polyester pants witch didn’t help the sweat situation.
The procedure took about 15 min.
Anyway, today technology has improved, so a vasectomy is even simpler.
I will spare you the written description of how it works, just follow the link, it will describe all your options.
Now for the parts that no doctor will tell you. Getting a vasectomy will not make you a stud. Sorry, you still have to worry about STD’s. You are still going to have to use a condom for that reason. Also women with no kids will likely not want to date you because they don’t see a future in dating men that are sterile. Once you are 40, then a vasectomy may be a plus.
The biggest thing that a vasectomy will help with is paternity suits. I know at least two men that were faced with paternity suits. Yup, a record of a vasectomy will get the case dismissed instantly.
Finally, getting a vasectomy is a bit like having an extra parachute. It sets your mind at ease because you will never have to worry about surprise pregnancies.
BTW: I have no kids. Having kids is not a requrement to get a vasectomy, unless the doctor imposes his own set of rules.

Teddy, Teddy. You have two little tubes running from your testies ( balls ) to a place where your semen is released. They make a very small cut in your bag, and then they snip the two little tube in half and tie them back so they never reconnect again. If you get the specail vasectomy, they can put a " shut off valve " in there and if you want to change your mind latter, it can be reversed. That is exspensive. Oh, it's don't hurt at all,,,,until you get home and take a nap and have a dream that a horse is kicking you in the balls. There is a lot of swelling but after 2 or 3 days, you will feel better.

Vasectomy is when a male gets not really snipped, but closed, so that semen does not cause the women to get pregnant, of course it is also reversible ,but very painful.
