Ditto to Venice Girl. It's not what you feed but how much you are feeding that's the problem.

tetramin is a good choice, they keep the water clear, but if its cloudy then you must be feeding them too much. just feed enough food that they can eat in less than 5 minutes, if they seem to want more, gradually put more food in. just dont place like a huge pinch of food, the uneaten food will fall to the bottom and pollute the water, filters dont always get all the gunk from the gravel, just the water they can manage to suck up around them.
good luck! you can also try the clear water drops I dont know what they are called but I never personally tried them, so try at your own risk =]

There is no magic food that doesn't foul the water. All food, regardless of brand, will foul the water if it is left in the water. This can only be avoided by removing all uneaten food after 5 minutes and doing weekly 25% water changes and siphoning the gravel to remove all of the gunk.

My favorite fish food I use is TetraMin Color Flake food for Tropical Fish.
I keep, breed and raise mainly South American freshwater Angefish and Corydoras (armoured catfish). I occasionally supplement their diet with live and frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp.
The secret to not polluting your tank is knowing how much is enough and how often to feed.
I feed all my fish first thing in the morning (about 5am) and last thing in the evening (about 8pm).
I know I have not overfed them if they eat most of the food up within 5 minutes.

Try and get them to eat the type of food in pellet form that floats at the surface of the water. I use wardley's, my betta won't eat anything else though since the flakes are too big to fit in his mouth and the smaller ones he doesn't notice or thinks is inedible.
If they don't eat the food 15 mins, use a net to swipe them out if they're flakes, if they're pellets you can also use your fingers if a net makes them skittish.

Tetra flakes are good food. So is O.S.I. Wardley is "acceptable" but most would consider it poor.
Sounds like a case of over feeding and poor maintenance.

You should only be feeding your fish what they can eat in 30 seconds without any of it falling to the tank floor. Overfeeding is what is causing your tank water to get dirty.
