My husband is a deputy at the county jail where we live. It will all depend on what you did...do you care to share the offense? You may or may not be deloused and the such depending on what you did. Please be more specific and I can tell you what to expect.

Edit: It really all depends on how much you wrote the checks for, then. Anything over $500 is a felony and a bond will be set much higher than anything under that.

You will more than likely have a bond set - and if you can afford it, you will get out without having to stay the night in jail (I would turn myself in first thing in the morning to have the day to work through it all). If you end up staying in jail, however, you will be processed in. This is not a fun experience. You have to strip down, shower and be deloused before entering the general population of the facility. That isn't fun either way you look at it, sorry.

It all depends on the severity of what you have done. I would consult an attorney if my charges were felony before I turned myself in. If it is minor, expect what I explained above.

Let me know if you need more info. There is a lot involved in cases like yours.. circumstances and the such. I just don't know enough about what is going on to help a whole lot.

Best of luck to you!

If you do turn yourself in make sure it is early in the week.
That will give them time to process and possibly PR you.
Don't turn yourself in at the end of the week.
You could be sitting in jail all weekend without anything at all happening to your case.
That is all the advise I can offer.

I'm not sure what you would expect, but I honestly respect your decision.
