Cardinals. Last year was a fluke. 83-78 is not representative of a world champion. Also the Twins. Their pitching went south in a hurry.

Q1: uncertain the Braves are gonna choose great pitching, run help and little bit of success to make the playoffs. success which potential they could desire to win the Marlins and Phillie lose, and not lose while they win. Or in the event that they could win the wild card, which precise now sounds like they have a extra suited hazard with the divison. i'm hoping they are nonetheless in the race, shall we pray they sweep the Mets! i'm for Pujouls and the Cardinals this positioned up-season if the Braves dont make it. Q2: possibly, extra what Frank Wren does in the low season. The gamers we've been given this twelve months have fairly helped. Nate McLouth, Adam LaRoche, David Ross, Javy Vasquez, have all performed their area. Dereck Lowe and Garrett Anderson seem those that don't come with the aid of once you opt for them. With a good farm-gadget i think of that the Braves will make the playoffs at modern next twelve months. The Braves have youthful pitching(Tommy Hanson, Jair Jurrjens, Kris Medlen). If no longer this twelve months than next twelve months! shall we keep hoping. Hanson has been great, and going to be the national League rookie of the twelve months ;)

I doubt that even 7 of the 8 teams that made it last year will make it again, but if i had to choose one team that won't make it this year i will have to choose the padres. Two years ago they won their division with a .506 winning percentage and last season they won the wild card with a .543 winning percentage. This year the NL has some better teams than in years past. The Mets, Cardinals, Dodgers, Phillies, Cubs.....should all be playoff contenders. I don't think that San Diego can reach the playoffs with such a low WP again this year.

I think the Tigers will miss out this year. they are a good club but they snuck up on the AL last year and got off to a hot start..that wont happen this year in what has become baseballs best division. Also I would be surprised if the Padres repeat in the the NL west

Detroit Tigers will miss the playoffs. Last year was their first winning season since 1993, and both Cleveland and Chicago have gotten better. Just look at the Tigers last year. They blew a big lead and lost the division, and was beat by a very average St. Louis team.

The Twins. Without Liriano they only have one really reliable starter.
Santana can not carry the team to the play-offs and they don't have a lot of offensive depth. I think that the Tigers will win the division and the Yankees and Red Sox will take the division and wild card.

I think it will likely be either the Twins or the Tigers. The AL Central will be the most competitive division in baseball with four teams that are realistic contenders Twins, Tigers, White Sox, and Indians (sorry Kansas City). It should be fun to watch these four duke it out for one, maybe even two, playoff spots.

AL, I'd pick the A's for losing Zito will miss the playoffs, and Twins will miss out on the playoffs cause having Liriano out all year and Santana doesn't have enough support round him and if they make him pitch too many games to go for more and more wins, he could blow out his arm and be out for a while, and I think this will be the year the NYY end there playoff streak and Cashman will fire Joe Torre at end of season bein nervous that Steinbrenner will have him on the hot seat he'll do same as Millen does for Lions and try too hard to make moves that turn out to hurt the team, and NL I'd pick the same 4 teams to make the playoffs in 07

I will stick my neck out and say the Detroit Tigers will miss the playoffs in 2007. Though Jimmy Leyland knows how to get the most out of his players; I just don't see a repeat in the making this year.

I think the AL Central is going to be the Minnesota Twins' to win or lose this year. It'll be a dogfight between them and probably the White Sox. Cleveland, Detroit and Kansas City will round out the division.
