1) Raiders: JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU - They are idiots and will pass up Brady Quinn, could be the next Drew Brees.

2) Detroit: Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin - Bad O-Line and they don't want to take the heat drafting a WR 4 of the last 5 drafts.

3) Cleveland: Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma - Browns running game among worst in league.

4) Tampa Bay: Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech - Need someone to complement Galloway.

5) Arizona: Jamaal Anderson, DE, Arkansas - No good available O-Linemen, so they work on Defense.

Gaines Adams - 6
Ted Ginn - 7
Brady Quinn - 9

The Raiders need everything on offense it seems like, and they should start with an offensive line. Like the Raiders, the Lions need a lot of offensive players too. The Browns have some set positions on the offensive side of the ball, but they really need a work-horse running back. The Bucs like most of their offensive players, but could use another big time reciever. The Cardinals need an offensive line, but Joe Thomas will be gone by number 5 so they will look for a defender.
1. Joe Thomas
2. Jemarcus Russel
3. Adrian Peterson
4. Calvin Johnson
5. Alan Branch

There is almost no chance Brady Quinn will go in the top five. When the Bucs gave Chris Simms a 2 year extension at the beginning of the season, they wanted people to know he's their guy. The Raiders need a quarterback, but they can't pass on Joe Thomas, especially when there are quality quarterbacks later in the draft, Chris Leak, Drew Stanton, and Troy Smith. I don't think people should expect Ted Ginn Jr. to go in the top 10, he should go after 15 or into the twenties.

1. Oakland Raiders (2-14)
Projected pick: +JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU
Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn, Georgia Tech WR Calvin Johnson and Wisconsin OT Joe Thomas are also possibilities, but Raiders owner Al Davis could fall in love with Russell's size and arm.

2. Detroit (3-13)
Projected pick: Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin
It might not be the sexy pick, but sexy picks haven't gotten GM Matt Millen and the Lions very far. Offensive tackle is the team's most glaring weakness, and Thomas is the only elite offensive lineman in this year's draft.

3. Cleveland (4-12)
Projected pick: +Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma
If Thomas is off the board, the Browns will be faced with a tough decision between Peterson, Quinn and Michigan DT Alan Branch. The team might not want to invest more money in another young quarterback, and Branch is a bit of a reach at No. 3 overall, so Peterson makes the most sense at this point. Quite honestly, spending this high a pick on a back with durability questions makes me nervous.

4. Tampa Bay (4-12)
Projected pick: +Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech
The Bucs have other more pressing needs, but it won't be easy for GM Bruce Allen and coach Jon Gruden to pass on the draft's most dynamic offensive weapon.

5. Arizona (5-11)
Projected pick: Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson
As usual, the Cardinals are prime candidates to trade down. Otherwise, they should use their pick on the best available defensive playmaker. Adams, Branch and Jamaal Anderson could all be considered.

1. Oakland: JaMarcus Russell - Lane Kiffen has to be looking for an explosive QB to keep Moss and Porter happy. He'll have that with this 6'6'' monster.

2. Detriot Lions: Joe Thomas - I think they may be better off with Brady Quinn here but their OLine has stunk for quiet some time now.

3. Cleveland: Brady Quinn
4. Tampa Bay: Calvin Johnson
5. Arizona: Alan Branch

I think Adrian Peterson will fall out of the top 5. Washington nor Minnesota will get him at 6 or 7. If Houston passes on him at 8, he could slip out of the top ten.

If the top 5 teams keep their picks it will go as follows:

1. Russell
2. Thomas
3. Peterson
4. Johnson
5. Branch

The team that is most likely to move out of their pick will be the Lions as it would be pretty difficult to take Thomas at #2 overall simply because of dollars involved. There are at least 3 teams that will try to slide into the #2 spot for a shot at Brady Quinn that pick high enough to entice the Lions (dont believe the Quinn is falling down draft boards hype...smokescreens and the Leinart syndrome where everyone trys to find his faults). The Vikings, Texans and Dolphins all have QB issues and all need a franchise QB to calm down restless fans. The Dolphins (Cam Cameron didnt endorse Culpepper when he was asked...that ought to tell everyone something) will want to get in front of the Texans for sure if they target Quinn and Cameron has a long history of developing QBs (Brees, Rivers and while at the U of M Tom Brady). After the Bush debacle in Houston last year they will look to atone and moving up to get Quinn would go a long way toward pleasing the fans (anyone but Carr would be considered an upgrade)
