I have an Apple MacBook Laptop. I jusst got the Christmas of 2006. If downloaded The Sims2, or just The Sims, and some expansion packs, would it really mess up my computer? It messed up my sister's but maybe it was just her computer. Maybe not? What should I do?

Don't download it online (actually, I don't even know if you can do that), but buy the CD, and make sure that it's for Mac, NOT PC. Maybe your sister installed the wrong version and that's why it's messed up.
Anyway, my two close friends both have Apple laptops, and they have both installed The Sims 2 on them without a problem, so it might just be your sister's laptop.
Good Luck!
