I need a debate on whether high profile trials should be televised

No.....because then you have judges who would rather try to be movie stars and play to the media than doing what they are supposed to be doing....Great examples... O. J. Simpson and Anna Nicole Smith... Both of these judges were a joke.

Yes. People are too lazy to go to courts to see how the system works and won't watch on TV unless it's a high profile case. People need all the education they can get on this to combat those silly TV court shows and to understand that what appears routine on TV is far beyond the budgets of most prosecutors. Juries are acquitting because there is no DNA evidence or fingerprints when multiple people seen the crime!

Now, should "news" programs give small parts of it? NO! That’s just propaganda aimed at selling ad space.

Not at all.....Once the trial is televised,it invites comments from media and laymen which might prejudice the outcome of the trial....But people can still comment their views that would constructively affect the case at hand....

no, hence the name, high profile

and frankly, unless it has anything to do with our rights, values, or morals, it doesn't concern me, especially with celebrities (they are human too)
