if there werent, the universe would be a pretty big waste of space.

Heres one hair brained idea:
Suppose that extra terrestrials are really us from the future. I know that sounds insane, but is it really? think about it, the pace of evolution would slightly alter us to make us seem un-human.. and who else out there would be able to mapquest earth?

Yes, I believe that life developed elsewhere in the universe. We already know that the amino acids that are the basis for DNA exist in space, so all that's needed is the proper environment for the amino acids to combine and develop into basic DNA. There are possibilities that this could have happened on Mars or on Jupiter's moon Europa, though they didn't develop a nurturing environment like Earth. There are billions of stars in our galaxy, and it's become apparent that planets are quite common. It's very likely that somewhere, life has developed on other planets in our galaxy.

I have seen things in the sky I cannot explain or had the Air Force "explain" and then told to be quiet about what we saw (30 of us)--doesn't mean we saw something extra terrestrial, maybe it was governmental experiments...but it would be awfully arrogant for us to think we are the only ones in this huge universe...I can only hope there is intelligent life out there, since there is very little here.....

Depends
It has already prooven that life in the universe exists, by just having a look on our own planet.
why not extra-terrestrial then, too ?
Since the universe is a hughe places chances are high that there is other life somewhere out there.
Finding it, or getting to know about it is nearly impossible for us, due to the distances.

Talking about intelligent life ?
why not, but i sometimes have my doubts wether earth harbours such.
who knows ...who knows ..

Yes, and my reasoning:
First there is something much bigger than the human knowledge that was created by someone at a much higher level. Most people including me call him God.
There would be no reason to waste the vass universe only on one set of intellegent beings.

Yes I do believe in extra-terristials; meaning life existing in some othe form on some other world other tan our own planet earthg. I am really surprised that the so-called'aliens among us' ,'off--worlders' who may or may not live among us , havenot responded to your question in record numbers. BUT IT IS EARLY YET!

I hardly think one would have to "believe" in extra terrastrials. Its impossible for another race not to exist.
