not sure if they would play better team ball than the suns altogether but would surely improve from their current style...it would allow Kobe to postion himself better without the ball and, better spacing on offense for the whole team, not to mention that Kidd has great hands, cant easily get posted up on defense, and rebounds well...he would improve the play of the inside players for LA, and create easier opportunities for Kobe also

No. But it wouldnt be because of Kobe, whom is no more of a ball hog than any other great scorer in the game of basketball.
It would be because Phil Jackson has a history of making his players adapt to his system rather than adapting to his players skills.
He wouldnt let Kidd run the show in a traditional offense. It would still be the triangle. The only thing that would improve is the Lakers fast break, and the defense. So I guess defensively that yes the team ball aspect on defense would improve.
If Phil Jackson would allow the Lakers to have a structured "freelance" offense than the Lakers possibly could go Phoenix Suns at times. Jason Kidd is one of the greatest PG's to ever play the game, and in an open environment the guy is amazing at getting the ball to the proper teammate at the right time.

They could never play better team ball than the suns. Nash likes to pass, Diaw likes to pass, Marion likes to rebound and Amare likes to dunk. They don't care about shooting 98 times a game to score 81 points. They would improve strictly cause Kidd would distribute the ball away from Kobe rather than just saying here like Smush, Walton, Farmar and Bynum would do. The best they've played was when Odom took over while Kobe was out.

Wouldn't matter since the Lakers main problems are defense and piss poor rebounding. Though Kidd averages 8 rebs in NJ his role would be different in LA and may not be in position to grab as many boards. They may play better "Team Ball" but it wouldn't be enough to lead LA to the promised land.

it will probably take a little bit to integrate kidd... and still I think the Suns will still be better. Even though Kobe is awesome, he hasnt promote the team play like Nash, and all the suns have benefited from it. Maybe in two years...
