I was just wondering what your opinions were. I feel Americans have the most out of all the countries. We are free to do whatever we want. But we don't act like a country, we care much more about our own personal agendas instead of working together to make America a better country. It isn't even a democracy anymore, because of the disappearing middle class. You are either poor and dependant on the government, and probably don't have too much say, or very wealthy and running the government. Why are we not united in helping the poor and preserving the middle class? And why don't we fight for our freedoms more? We don't have the same freedoms as the early americans, alot have been taken away. I'm not sure if the democracy will survive much longer if the American people don't readjust their outlooks. i'm not painting the Americans to be horrible and selfish, but I feel as a whole we are a bit naive and blind, assuming we will always have what we have and that it will always be like that.

I don't think we are ungrateful. We just take our opportunities for granted which may come across as being ungrateful.

First off, the middle class is still here. The middle class is needed, it's just getting paid less. We are the ones who pay taxes to support the poor, and the government. We don't fight for our freedoms because we are uneducated and afraid of the wrath of the government we pay for. If you have done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear... right? Atleast thats what we are told by our government. By the people, of the people right. By the taxes of the middle, and of the wealthy. They can afford the commercials, and lost their souls for a dollar a long time ago. So are we ungrateful... not really. Just blind, uneducated, underfunded, and afraid. We celebrate diversity, so we never stand as a group for anything.

I agree that some of us are naive and we assume things will always be as they are, but I don't think we are ungrateful. You say that we are "free to do whatever we want," but also that "we don't have the same freedoms...a lot have been taken away." I'm guessing that means that we aren't free to do what we want. I do think we are fighting, though...just look at all the people in Iraq right now. Think about the Civil Rights movement and World Wars I and II. These have all happened in the past century, so I'd say that we do fight for freedom when it's necessary.

Well its gone down hill ever since Bush came in Office.

And let me say that we aren't that free anymore, because of the Patriot Act, now we cant say anything because the Government is watching our every move, and we can be put in federal prison for just saying anything against the government.

So no, I don't think all Americans are ungrateful, its just that there is not much that we can do about it. Unless good people will run for president, but then again you have to be filthy rich to run.

Because we have become lazy. It is easier to fill out the forms and get the government help than it is to fight for the middle class and we all feel like voting doesn't really matter after the 2000 election so we feel powerless to change anything. Sound about what you were looking for?

America is in trouble of losing our freedom.
9/11 was warning discipline.
God is like a father who cares for his children.
The USA is a client nation to God.
Christians have failed miserably at fulfilling the plan of God for their lives.
People in general do not seem to obey the laws of divine establishment.
I do not think people realize how important their freedom is.
When our freedom is lost it will be a disaster.
We are in a very critical time in our history.
I agree with you that Americans are ungrateful.
Peace out.

Yes, Curtis, the middle class is still here. I think we're here to stay. Nobody else pays up. We're getting squeezed from both sides. The wealthy don't give their share and the poor don't have anything to give.
