I have Ray Lewis as the most over-rated and Zach Thomas as the most under-rated in the NFL. I know Lewis used be really good 2 years ago, but he's not that good anymore. And it doesn't seem like that many people know about Zach Thomas when he always finishes in the top 5 in tackles every year!!! What do you guys think?

I agree with Lofa Tatupu, Keith Bullock, Donnie Edwards, and DeMeco Ryans as being under-rated too. DeMeco Ryans actually finished 2nd in tackles this year behind Zach Thomas. As for Keith Bullock, he is loved by Tennessee fans and is really the Titans only good defender (Kyle Vanden Bosch is pretty good too) and I don't think people outside of Tennessee realize how good he is. And Donnie Edwards has been good for a looong time, but still isn't that hyped.
As for Brian Urlacher, he is a little over-rated but is also very talented.
And wasn't Nick Barnett traded for Randy Moss?

I think an under-rated player was DeMeco Ryans, the rookie on the Texans last year. He played an awesome rookie year, was really unknown, and I think he's gonna be a good player in the NFL. I would have to agree with you for Ray Lewis as an over-rated player, since he is well known but not as good as he was a few years back.

IMO Ray isn't over-rated (and guy above me, Burgess is a DE for OAK).
I'd agree that Zach Thomas is under-rated, and so is Keith Bullock (you said LB, but everyone seems to be talking MLB - ---I think all 4-3 OLBs need some love).
I might say Urlacher is over-rated --not that he's not extremely talented, but Bears fans (or people on the Bears bandwagon) always make comments like "oMg!! Bryan Urlaker is deh best!!!111!!!" and it gets pretty old fast.

OK Overrated -- Ray Lewis -- I have said this for years. Put Sam Adams, Ted Washington and Tony Siragusa in front of me and I can make 20 tackles/game. He isn't even the best LB on his team right now (Adalius Thomas is.)
Underrated -- check out Keith Brooking in ATL -- always in on about 10-12 tackles from the weak side and still covers the flat on passes. Never has left ATL in HS, College (Ga Tech) or pro.

Bulluck is tremendous. maximum underated? Thats kinda hard merely cuz there are such various reliable LBs that flatter much less exposure. Bulluck remains referred to as an elite LB. different underated LBs could desire to be Julian Peterson, Al Wilson, Ian Gold, DJ Williams, Lance Briggs, Andra Davis, and so forth. Bulluck is tremendous, yet as quickly as I had to vote for many underated i could ought to assert Peterson, with Donnie Edwards and Mike Peterson close.

Terry Tate is the most overrated.
The only ones he's "tough" enough to take on are office workers.
But put him out on a field with real football players, and he wouldn't do much.
