How long until the USA and other major countries begin to battle for resources like food, water, oil, and such.

I understand that some places already do, but I am talking about big counties like the USA and Russia.

I don't see it happening for those reasons. Water would be the only issue in my eyes but I think large scale desalination plants will solve that problem. I do believe it won't be too many years until we see hydrogen/electric hybrid cars and a host of other more efficient ways of harnessing different sources of power and the means to use that power with little or no pollution.

The USA is already involved in a war for oil. It is called Iraq.

Future wars will be fought for resources like water. There are already States in the United States battling over water rights.

Wars cost more than negotiations, capitalistic methods, etc.

I am not sure why any superpower or the major countries would battle over food or water- neither the US nor Russia import much of their main resources... other than oil. We both raise our own foods, make or treat our own water, etc.

there's enough food for everyone , that if production was stopped today , every human being could have 3 course meals for the next 10 years

oil production is up 67 percent since the 80s and will last 200 years , some say 400

water , is plentiful , no one in there right mind would fight over this resource

Very unlikely. the US has most of the resources it needs from itself, Canada, and Mexico, which are rapidly turning into one country.

Russia has more than enough resources for itself.
