John Williams is the model day composer. He did works like star wars, superman, harry potter and many more. Im a little uncertain of your question do you mean mainstream artists that have an orchestra in one of there songs, because if so i dont know of any. However if your looking for simply contemerary or modern classcal music. some of my favorites are james swearingen, robert sheldon, steven reinke. those mostly compose for the intermediate or high school level but i still enjoy them.

Nuttin' But Stringz play hip-hop but with violins. They're pretty cool.
