Well, I'm in the band at school, but I'm not really that into it, I just do it for the easy A. I know a lot of the people, but I'm not really that close to anybody. A lot of the other people seem to be close however, and I often end up by myself when we have field trips to see other bands play, etc. The guys all know each other and hang out with each other, but to be honest they bore me anyway. I feel awkward hanging around a group of girls, because the often start talking about "girly" stuff and start gossiping. I guess I could handle that though....but my real question is, do you think a group of maybe 3-4 girls (whom I know, but not that well) would mind if I (being a guy) just walked up to them and tried to join in their conversation?

yea sure.......that would totally be fine.....i kind of went threw that because i have this class and i don't really know the people in but i know this guy (kind of) and on the field trip i just started talked him and hanged out with him n his friends n they were all koo with it......so i say go for it........

just say hey.
also find a friend of yours that is in a group talk to them and follow them into the group.

they would probable get mad because us girls don't really like when guys listen to our conversations. but u could ask them if u could hang out with them
