How do I unfreeze it without losing anything?

press the centre button and menu at the same time and hold for about 30 secs till the apple icon appears on the ipod screen !

This site offers a free iPod video! It sounds like a scam but it really isn't, I got mine in the mail the other day. Just thought I'd share it with you :)
