i want to know if my computor can be affected by opening e-mail

Yes - If the email contains malicious code or a virus attachment.

So never open emails from people you don't know, that are suspicious or spam.

Yes your computer can get a virus by answering email, so don't open emails from someone you don't know. It doesn't get infected by you sending an email but when you receive an email from an unknown source you put your computer at risk of getting a virus (infected).

Very definitly - despite some of these answers. Some of the more sophisticated viruses can infect even if the e-mail is not opened.

Yes, if your email program runs javascript or html, but most current ones won't do this by default (if yours is old, you'll have to check your settings).

If you download files, certainly.

Ansering an email, no. Reading an email, maybe.

it can if it has an attachment on the email you received and you opened it but most isps scan all mail before you receive it

not by looking at an email. Now if you open an attachment that is included, that's a whole different story.

on yahoo! probably not...

if u open it it should be okay..

but if u click on the things IN it you can get viruses and spyware
