They wont even be close to being the team to beat.
Kenyon Martin has never been a great player, and the only time he was half way decent was when he had a great PG in Jason Kidd setting things up for him.
He cant shoot, he doesnt have much of a post game, and now that his knee is complete crap he isnt explosive. He was a pure energy and hustle guy, and he cant even do that anymore. His defense was always overrated and his rebounding wasnt so great either. The Nuggets overpaid when they decided they wanted this guy.
What they really need is two very good outside shooters to open things up for AI and Carmelo. Theyve got a good foundation in Carmelo with AI and Camby. But they really lack in perimeter shooting and a big time inside post presence.
They are trying to get by on two superstars that can get hot and carry a team, but I dont really see the nuggets as a team with an identity. They just run, but dont really know where they are running.
As of now, they are the chicken with its head cut off.

No they will still be between a 6-8 seed in the playoffs. they will be lucky to get out of the first round of the playoffs.

NEVER....the western conference champs will come thru texas for years to come ...whether it come from dirk and dallas, duncan and san antonio or even tmac and houston...denver will be lucky to be a playoff team
