Well, they say that you can only make fun of what you are...so maybe he does have the right.

But ultimately no he does not have the right.

a: in regards to the joe reagan people, you dont seem to realize that half of these "angry at society" comedians are telling the same "stupid person" and "racially charged" jokes as Don Rickles, Rodney Dangerfield and other such comedians from the 50's 60's 70's etc..none of it is really original, it's just adapted to today, get over it, Mencia tells it better, Reagan just is NOT that funny...that's why he's doing a show like Fear Factor, and not selling out his tours..

b: since when to people have to have a right to say anything? We're all protected under the 1st amendment..
even Michael Richards and his racial outbreak last year at the laugh factory is technically "protected" under the 1st amendment law. Just b/c something pisses you off for whatever reason does not mean that someone does not have the right to do it.

Mencia when he does his act does not exactly single someone out and say "you dumb**s. you're stupid and this joke is about you". And for the ones he DOES single out, those are people from his entourage/show..

The reality is..most of you that are pissed realize his jokes reflect a lot of your own actions such as his Anti-Fat people tyriad, which is actually right on.. his "racists are wrong tyriad" which is right on. If you would listen to the message you'll understand that he IS right..that the ACLU and the liberals who push the ACLU along and the Neo-Cons on the other side of the spectrum have done more to damage the constitution and take rights away from you and me, and it's b/c stupid people allow it/cause it/justify it to happen..

Why SHOULD there be a warning on a bottle of preparation H, you'd think it'd be common sense that something that goes on your *** does NOT go in your mouth..etc..

people like that deserve to be made fun of, they deserve their "Ding fries are done" job, and they sure as hell dont deserve to be felt sorry for. Not so much that I think Mencia's material is funny, but it sure as hell is right on.. and the fact that it's coming from a NON-US born person (you know a naturalized alien) makes it that much better..

and yah, so what if his grand father was german and mother was honduran, how does that make those of us European decent any more or less able bodied to not make jokes about people?

The point is that it's humor, if you cannot laugh (period) then you're missing the point..

THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO DON'T LAUGH....

Are the people that the jokes hit too close to home with...

Freedom of Speech - every has the right, and why not? If nothing else, Carlos Mencia keeps it REAL, tells it like it is, and is no-holds-barred when it comes to people being idiots.

So what joke hit too close to home for you?......

Sure he has business making fun of stupid people. He actually addressed that in one of his shows - essentially saying that if he wouldn't do those jokes in front of retarded people (WHICH HE DID) then he wouldn't have any business doing them at all. In fact his audience apparently found them quite funny.

Yes because it is his business. Was it supposed to be funny that you misspelled the word are? Or were you just trying to make a point.

I saw him live. I think he's hilarious. Everyone has moments of stupidity; he just has the guts to make fun of it. If you don't like his show, turn off your idiot box, or don't pay to see him.
