In today's world, it is common to hear about teenagers killing people.A few months back there was a man that was shot and killed(by teenagers) for asking them to get off of his car.More and more of today's youth and my peers are being put into detention centers and into jails for sevre crimes(murder, rape,.grand theft, and other things).Do you feel that children today know the true value of life?I don't.If you agree, what do you think should be done to correct this problem?

I'm 17 and i know the value of life.I try to be a good person and I know the difference between right and wrong, and I try and do what I know whats right, although I'm not perfect at doing that.I definetly know people who don't value life much, they drink underage, not only that they drink and drive. If your gonna drink,at least be responsible about it,but drive at the same time, are you serious? Then they get a thrill out of it,they'll tell me,"damn man, last night was crazy,I almost died."Then I'm thinking like, your proud of that?I agree with you somewhat.

Some do, some don't. Mentoring is a great step towards helping those that do not know. I think making it mandatory to work w/ those less fortunate, homeless people, and people who really appreciate their life & have goals is another good start. Pretty much exposing them to what life really is and how much the individual matters.

Can anything be done? Anything ethical, I mean? Prison just doesn't seem to work. They go in for a petty crime and come out hardened criminals. I think we've exhausted all ethical attempts to solve this problem. It's time we considered some form of subtle population control for a start. Let's make it so potential parents have to pass a test in order to procreate. Is it more ethical to allow a child to be born into a world of drug abuse, child abuse, spousal abuse, in fact abuse in general, than to not allow that child to be born at all?

It's parents responsisbility to live and show good standards and morals, to teach values. Just read the bibleit tells that and how things "will" deteriorate in a society that doesn't practice raising kids as God says they are to be raised.
