this, Delia, Hecate, Luna, Phoebe, Selene. Daughter of Zeus by Leto (Latona) ; twin sister of Apollo. The moon goddess and goddess of hunting. Also goddess of childbirth, as Lucina (Roman). Patroness of unmarried girls and of chastity. She fell in love with ENDYMION, q.v.Changed Actaeon into a stag.
Theogeny
