What is your definition of a best friend?

A best friend will be by your corner,and stick up for u always.
They will support and courage you in anything and everything.
They will treat u with respect as u treat them with respect.
They will never let no one tell them wrong about u, or stab u in the back.
They'll always feel sad when your sad.
feel mad when your mad.
Understanding!!
Thoughtful.
Someone who thinks about u and not only there themsleves.
They will be your friend forever don't matter what u look like or for what u have.
They won't be afriad to talk to u about things that should be said.
Abestfriend is a charm that stays with you forever, and never be lost in th cold or rain. Thats my definition of friends.

A best friend comes along few times in life, but when they do they are forever.
A best friend does not always have to live next door or even in the same town. But you know that if you call they have the time to listen, to laugh with you, to cry with you, to know the real you that few others ever truly experience.
Example: My first best friend lives some 2300 miles away but I know that no matter what time of the day or night she is but a phone call away. When my son passed in 1990 I called and we wept together, it was 2 a.m. when I called.
We do not chat every day, and rarely physically visit, but, to know she is there is a blessing.
A best friend cares, shares, disagrees with you when your wrong and takes no insult because you can be totally honest.
A best friend is so many things rolled into one, a true person you can trust with your life and your child's life without fear.

A best friend is someone who can keep your secrets and understand your feelings. They will try to make you happy when you are sad and they will always be there for you. A best friend is someone who you can trust. Someone who you know will never talk about you behind your back. You never (at least hardly) get in fights. Thats what a BEST friend is!!!

I really don't think you should call anyone your "best" friend. It just creates jealousy between your other friends. I would consider your best friend to be someone that is basically as close to you as a sister, or a brother, meaning that no matter what happens they are never going to judge you or leave you.

a best friend helps them self
a friend will bail you out of jail
a best friend will be sitting next to you saying "Damn that was fun"
a friend will forget about you after a fight
a best friend will call you right back after a fight
To me a best friend is all of these things. I know that my best friends will love me no matter what.

someone whos always ther for me when im down in the dumps, can listen to me talk (even though it may be annoying at times), keeps the secrets i tell her, forgives when we have an argument/fight...
basically someone whos important to u and likes u for who u r
