I haven't seen this happen to anyone I know... Actually, all the people I know who have been to jail are heterosexual and have stayed that way.

I don't know any men who went to jail straight and left gay whether or not they were raped. Actions do not make one gay or straight -- otherwise all the guys on the "down-low" now would have turned straight, due to their actions - but none have.
Reality is that what you feel and want, not what you do, determines what you are.

One does not turn gay from straight because of any outside influence like jail, or military service or the like.

Nobody becomes gay! All gay people are born gay just as all str8 people are born str8. No matter what there experience, not matter what happens to them, no matter how many times they are sexually abused nobody becomes gay! It is possible for gays to have str8 sex and for str8s to have gay sex but this does not mean that they are of the sexual orientation opposite there true sexual orientation just because of this! I was married to a women for 11 years because when I was younger I didn't know anything about being gay and I grew up in a society and community and family that believed that women loved men and men loved women! I wanted to be just like everybody else in the world so I got married to a woman who I believed I loved! Actually I did love her but not sexually, not like a husband is supposed to love a wife! Anyway when I was with her of course I had to have sex with her, I committed my self through marriage - what could I do, but believe me I hated every minute of having to be sexual with her and never once in 11 years initiated being involved in it! When I came out of the "prison" I has not become str8, I was still the gay guy that I was when I went into that str8 marriage! Having to have sex with a women did not make me str8!!! Nor would two guys having sex with each other weather they consented or not make them gay! It was something they had to do or were forced to do but it does not change their true sexual orientation!

Hell no, I have worked in the correctional system over 20 years, that does not happen!!! If he comes out gay, he was gay when he went in, being raped does not change your sexual preference.

yes i do know someone and it gets on my nerves because he swears that he isnt gay...now he was only in jail for 1 MONTH and got it in with a guy...so i dont know if he was gay when he went in there or what....
