It is her first award show. I am sure they could have done much better than that!! That dress is hidious. Come on, it has POCKETS!! What red carpet dress has pockets? She needs to fire her stylist.

Its an Oscar de la Renta and HE picked it out for her. You're right. its hideous! I can't believe she wore it. He doesn't like her at all. Betcha Beyonce put him up to it.

If Oscar de la Renta actually suggested that Jennifer where that hideous brown dress with the gold aluminun armor around her shoulders, then it's obvious to me that old Oscar is hoping Abigail Breslin wins Best Supporting Actor.
Ugliest damn dress I've ever seen. Made Jennifer look like a tacky linebacker!!!

I loved Beyonce, Jada Pinkett Smith, Cate Blanchett and Reese Witherspoon. I absolutely ought to disagree about J Lo's gown. It made her look higher than she is. It did not flatter her discern. I hated Cameron Diaz gown, Jessica Biel, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Hudson, Nicole Kidman and Kelly Preston

Actually, The dress is quite beautiful. Pockets on dresses are a big fashion trend. The silver jacket is NOT apart of the dress, she just wore it because it was cold out. But it comes off, it is just like shrug jacket.

I totally agree! She looked way better at the Globes and at the Grammys. That dress and that jacket thing that was on her was horrid! She should fire her stylist! Awful!

They just showed her in the audience and she lost the tin-foil jacket she was wearing, so it doesn't look quite as bad. The dresses she wore to the other award shows were much prettier than this one.

I agree with you, except for one thing. "THEY" are not responsible. Jennifer Hudson had to agree to the dress before she wore it. So give her a little bit of credit for bad taste! :-P
