For the same reason they always dredge up Clinton's bj. Things are so bad and getting worse for them under Bush & Cheney that they are compelled to distract people in any way possible. I'm sure jealousy plays a part in both instances, as democrats always seem to have more fun than those who live in such an uptight paradigm.

I'm missing something. Are you trying to say that a liberal winning an Oscar is rare? I'm not sure there's even a conservative NOMINATED to win an Oscar this year, in any catergory.
There are 2 major complaints about Gore's nomination. First, some people didn't think it was a good enough movie to win, and it was only nominated as a political statement. I didn't see it, so I can't comment. Second, there's some question as to whether "An Inconvenient Truth" qualifies as a documentary, being based more on predictions, than on actual events. Again, I didn't see it, so I'm not sure how valid this complaint is.

Go easy on the cons. They've had a few bad months. Epifany after epifany finding that they have been duped. They want to believe they are right about something but time and again they find the truth and can't take it. The conservative propagandists on hate radio will be sure to spew more hate against anything that doesn't fit into their narrow viewpoint.
What has happened to them and others until those others finally woke up can be described by the following:
Hermann Goering, Hitler’s Propaganda Minister said; “Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger”.

I haven't changed my answer to your last question regarding Gore. I never liked the man...never voted for him either. It's not right for you to ASSume that all Conservatives are the same.
Who cares if Gore wins an Oscar? Maybe he can start getting a studio paycheck and can give up his SS for a new career. Bet'cha Hollywood makes him an offer...wanna bet?
By the way...most everyone is Hollywood is a liberal, so what are you talking about?

No, most Oscars have always gone to liberals so this is nothing new. I just hope Gore runs for President to he will be subject to Hitlerry Clinton's Politics of Personal Destruction Machine.
It will make what the Republicans are saying about Algore sound like praise by comparison.

I think you have it backwards. Liberals have no grounding in reality. 35 years ago they were talking about global cooling. Al Gore has been trying to find something that would bring back his popularity, and he finally found the right one all you liberals would beleive. Whos really gullible and brain dead.
