Biggio will hit 3000.
Bonds will hit 756.
Sosa will hit 600.

In that order, from most likely to least likely.

Biggio is still a top player, he will get it easily (unless he has a freak injury.)
Bonds is an amazing hitter, roids or not. He was bombing quite a few in his 180 lb. days, he can do it now.
Sosa has nothing left. I say he will bat .200 at most, maybe 5-10 home runs if he is lucky and plays an entire season. (UNLIKELY)

Bonds will not hit 756 this season. No player over the age of 40 has ever hit more than 18 HR's in a single season. Now that Bonds can't use his roids, watch his numbers drop like a rock. Sosa hitting number 600, meaning 12 HR's, this season would be a long shot as well. His numbers have been consistently decreasing since the home run race with McGwire.

I go with Biggio getting hit number 3,000. It really is no great feat to get 70 hits in half a season, much less the whole season. Biggio will beyond all doubt get to 3,000 hits before either of the other two occur. I would also say that this is the only likely one out of the three to occur next season.

Bonds hits 756. Sosa is no where near good enough anymore to hit any kind of homerun, Biggio doesnt get enough playing time to get 70 hits. We know Bonds is going to be playing nearly every game, from what I've heard, he's been real good so far in spring training. Remember he is the greatest hitter of all time, and I think he will probably break Aaron's record just before the All Star game.

Biggio - he needs 70 hits, that's probably about the end of July.
Bonds may hit 30 this year, so September (considering the number of days he will take off). Plus Bonds probably wants to hit 756 close to the end of the year so he can just throw his bat down and quit.
Sosa hasn't even made the team yet and may not get much playing time if he does.

Who is Biggio going to be this season? The guy who hit well in the first half of last season, or the guy who couldn't hit .200 during the second half?

If Biggio hits like he did early last season, he'll hit 3000 before the All-Star break. If he hits like he did after the break last year, it'll be near the end of the season.

I don't see Bond's beating Aaron's record this season. I think his baggage is going to catch up to him before that happens.

Since I do not recognize Barry Bonds and Sammy Sosa as legitimate major league players, but rather cheaters and liars, I'm going with the only honest player listed. Biggio will legitimately reach his goal first. The other two career stats add up to "Zero" as far as I'm concerned.

i think biggio will get 3000 hits first. it will take bonds all season to get all the hr's he needs. and sosa is washed up. he took steriods to and after not using them for a while he wont do anything plus 70 hits itll take him till the allstar break

Biggio gets 3,000. Bonds doesn't have enough 'roids in him to get over that number in time. And is Sosa even playing anywhere?

To the previous poster: Biggio is playing this year. He DID NOT retire.
