You can't really obtain a fetish. It's just something you're interested in from a certain age. for some it's birth, others it's puberty, and sometimes people become obsessed with things after a traumatic incident or a life-changing experience.

Fetishes become primarily by obsessive compulsive fascination with a subject. This, however, does not mean a person is under the control of the compulsion. That occurs when you choose to surrender your own self-control.
