If you are running XP you are going to want to delete your cookies and clean your cache, then change your security settings to allow no cookies. Be warned however some websites will not work if you dont allow them their cookies.
on your browser *explorer* go to tools, down to internet options click delete files and check the box that will delete all offline files. It will take awhile if you havent done it before. Then delete cookies. Next step is privacy which is a tab off that same box and slide it all the way to the top for no cookies.

Install and run CCleaner a freeware system optimization and privacy tool.
. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history.
