i'm in university and having a small party in my tiny apartment. I've never had a party before so I'm a bit nervous. I got chips and alcohol, a few movies, satalite TV, an electric drum kit (can't really play that it's too noisy at night), music and a nintendo wii. Is there anything else I need to entertain people? I'd like to have a backup plan in case things start to get dull. Should I get any more food.
I can't make too much noise in my apartment but it's not like I have to whisper past 8.

As long as you have music, alcohol and food you should be ok. Another thing you could do, depending on what type of crowd, is get some party games set up. If you have friends who can help you organise them and get involved with prizes etc. It sounds youngish but is actually alot of fun for older people. I'm 27 and we still do stupid stuff like play Twister when very drunk is amusing. Get a pinata to bash full of lollies or cool small gifts. You can internet search for party games that will suit your age group and add some extra fun and photo opportunities!

Encourage your friends to bring a dish or something to eat. If you want to make noise invite the neighbors. So they are part of the noise. Most people compalin because they are not part of what's going on. Invite the a few of the people that you know who will make a party a party.

You're worrying too much. Just let the party flow - that's the best way. People show up, they get a drink and start to mingle and it will take care of itself. Don't sweat it!
