why are most people on here so quick to lecture?

ok people i understand the whole get your pet spayed/neutered thing,i understand why,believe me i do,i rescue unwanted and abused puppies and kittens and have seen some horrible stuff,but when someone on here is just asking for breeding advice or how to handle an animal's heat symptoms,why is it that most people feel the need to demand the pet get spayed or neutered i find it annoying,to gently suggest to a person who seems clueless is one thing but to demand to a pet owner that has decided to breed get thier pet fixed is just annoying,can't anyone just simply answer a person's question without the lecture?it is people on here who lecture that help cause the ignorance in pet owners,who wants to ask a question when you know your going to get ridiculed and or made to feel dumb,people get on here to get knowledge of things they are unaware isn't that why yahoo answers is here in the first place?

Ronni F i agree with you,and i understand where you are coming from but you get more flies with honey than with vinegar or so the saying goes,i just think that people have be taught not to be ignorant,not screamed and lectured into it,gentle persuasion goes a lot further than demanding something of them,to teach is to learn,some people just don't understand how it is and need to be told without insult it is wrong to be breeding more unwanted animals,there are better ways to help a person than going all PETA on a person,and just so you know,the pets i adopt out are ALREADY spayed or neutered,if not a contract is signed,and i get proof that it was done or i get said animal back,oh so quick to judge,shame on you

Agreed, the only time I lecture is when someone really doesn't know what on earth they're talking about, and I feel that giving them some good advise will help them later in life.

For the same reason it is a law to put seat belts on children.....most people dont do what they should until they are made to do it.....anyone who doesnt like the lecturing about spaying and neutering should go to the local shelter and ask to see the contents of their freezer.....then wonder why there is more breeding going on and people paying huge prices for animals who will end up dead in a freezer....get a clue.....

Because the people who lecture everyone about breeding has nothing better to do. I do believe in getting your animal fixed but who am I to judge anyone

the reason people "lecture" about spay/neuter is because of the horrible numbers of animals being put to sleep each day because of backyard breeders and irresponsible pet owners!!!!! you being a person doing rescue should be very aware of the problem and I hope that the animals you rescue are being spayed/neutered before you place them or you are doing nothing but helping this problem continue......I DO NOT agree with breeding just because you have "papers" on your animal....unless that animal is up to the breed standard and you have homes ready to place the litter into YOU DO NOT NEED TO BREED!!!!!!!!!!!!! check the numbers of "purebred" animals in rescues and shelters and then tell me theres no need to lecture!!!!!!
