Make sure you keep your fingernails and toenails trimmed and smooth. Another way is to buy the correct size for your body type. Buy hose that are somewhat loose but not so much that they're baggy and scrunch up at the knees and ankles. The key is proper fit. I can get over twenty plus wearings out of any brand of pantyhose, but L'eggs Sheer Energy seem to last the longest.

As Miss Q said, hand wash all pantyhose. When you put them on don't pull them super tight or you will quickly have runs. Leave just a little at the toes and keep the old toenails in shape. As a general rule, those with more lycra will last a little longer but that means a support type pantyhose. To adjust them after you have them on, if they don't feel right, dampen your hands with a little water or lotion. Good luck!

The best thing to do to make your hosiery last longer is hand wash them in cold water with this soap called Hosiery Mate. Hosiery Mate is availible at most lingerie stores. It has silicone fibers in the soap that actually cling on to and strengthen the fibers of your hose. And do NOT hang them to dry because it could stretch them, lay them out on a towel instead (not in the sun).
And my preferred brand is StockinGirl, they have beautiful thigh highs and stay up that I wear all the time. I've had a couple pairs for over six months now and they still look as fresh as the day I bought them. (http://www.stockingirl.com/)

My mother puts her panty hose in the freezer, it is an old tip altho sounds stupid. (makes candles burn longer and slower too btw), in the UK Berkshire brand lasts long as it is of good quality. Here in the US I have found K Mart's brand to last longest. But neither of these are real shere if you like that look. Sheer pantyhose are difficult to make last. How about you just tan your legs, fake tan spray like I do?

I'm a guy here that loves to wear them for warmth when jogging or cycling outside. I wear Leggs Sheer Energy and they last for a long time even when jogging in them!
