Rich people have money, and homeless people do not. It's as simple as that.
--some extra stuff--
In many cases, the reason that one group has money and the other doesn't is education. Rich people in most cases are educated or were raised by educated, wealthy parents. Homeless people are either mentally ill, were not educated, or come from poor families (and education was not enough to help them rise above that).

Other than money, not much.
Put another way, if you took away a rich person's money or if they were out of work for a significant time, where would they be.
The work ethic might not be enough, if someone couldn't arrange housing or became mentally ill, lost their money and then was "discharged" - voila homeless person.

Remember? You let me read your hobo/ rich people essay thingy. Hobos live a more carefree life because they don't worry about paying for anything and they don't have all the stress that wares them out like rich people. Hobos can also be more kind than rich people, but some rich people are nice too.
