I think it has to do with you calming down and not being as active once you are in bed. Mine does the same thing and it too feels like a dam bursts when I get out of bed the next morning.

maybe its normal cuz it happens to me too sometimes. I'll wake up in the morning and be happy it's over, but i'll use another tampon just in case and of course, it was just the night time tricking me.
Maybe it's just lighter (or stops) because there's not so much activity going on causing it to come down at night? I don't know. That's my guess.
I supposed I didn't answer your question fully, just let you know that you're not the only one.

It is normal. It happens to some people. It is when You are lying down, sometimes (in which i believe is your case) the blood cant push out. Also because when you sleep your body functions slowly and your period maybe delayed because of this.

Yeah, this is pretty normal. Blood flows out because of gravity. And you are laying horizonally. When you stand up "Gush" It really doesn't stop, you are not in the right position for it to flow out.

mine does that too. except it doesnt start again until i go to the bathroom in the morning. i think the blood clots or something until you go to the bathroom, then your body notices that you are vertical again. lol. just kidding. i dont know why it is only "off" when you are asleep. maybe because you arent thinking about it.

Our flow gets lighter sometimes when we are lying down. Your period is still actually going-you may just have a light flow. It's about gravity.

It may be your positioning at night. Lying down can affect the flow.

Same thing happens to me. I think its rather convenient! No complaints on my part! I don't think there is anything to worry about- probably just because you are laying down- it doesn't have "gravity's help." lol
