There's a very good all-purpose tool for unzipping zip files called "7-Zip". It's free and easy to use. Download it at the below link, and install it. From then on, when you want to unzip a compressed file, right click on the file and choose 7-Zip from the choices, and then the choice for what you want to do with the file..there are a number of choices. It's easy, free, and works well. Hope this helps.

Windows has a tool to open them but you can also download winzip or winrar, this are softwares that are specially designed to open zip files. I personally recommend winrar you can download it here:
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Once you install it you just have to open the file like any other file (double click), and it will open a window with all the contents of the zip file, click on the extract button, chose a destination and that's it.
Good luck.

dude,, download a utility such as winzip, winrar, or my personal favorite "Izarc" when you download the utility, you must install it, usually by double left clicking it and then agreeing to the ridiculous amount of text they make you sign to, then once you have it installed, right click the prograM YOU want to unzipp and choose"whichever program you have chosen as a zipped file and enjoy it
