I was throwing my cell phone up in the air and dropped it in the trap. How do I get the glue off? I tried alcohol and nail polish remover, but they don`t work. Any other suggestions?

the cheapest thing is to get a cotton ball and put baby oil on it and the glue should come off. Next time throw your cell phone in the other direction. This was pretty funny.

Try rubbing the sticky areas with vegetable oil until the residue comes off, and then wash away the oil with a good dishsoap on a rag.

Please don't use glue traps or poison. Glue traps are so cruel that they've actually been outlawed in some countries. Mice have been known to gnaw off their own limbs and tear off their skin in an effort to escape, as they starve or dehydrate to death or suffocate in the glue. It can take three to five days for them to die. If you find a live mouse stuck in a glue trap, you can put it in a box, pour vegetable oil around the mouse to loosen the glue, and gently push it off the trap with a pencil or spoon. Then, you can release it outside. Of course, this is messy and stressful for both you and the mouse, so it's better to not use them in the first place.

Poison isn't any better, as the mice die slowly and painfully from internal bleeding. It can take up to a week for them to die, and then they smell as they rot behind your walls.

I've had great success with this live trap in my house:

It’s also available for $2 cheaper here (although I prefer to buy it from the other place since I’m not a big fan of PETA):

I've caught over a dozen mice with it so far and it can be used over and over indefinitely. Or, you can try making the free homemade humane trap described here:

If you do live trap mice, please be sure to check the traps several times a day and release the mice promptly, approximately a mile away from your home. It is much more cruel to allow a mouse in a live trap to slowly starve to death than to kill it quickly with a snap trap. When you release the mice, do it in an area with some sheltering bushes or plants.

If you feel you must kill the mice, snap traps are the most humane alternative.

Wow the only thing I can think of is to go to a Sally's Beauty Supply store and get some bonding glue remover. Hopefully that would work. Otherwise, I suggest you go to a hardware store like Ace or Tru Value and ask someone there-I'm sure they have something that will remove SuperGlue and stuff like that there.

try goof off cleaner, if may work. I think the glue is also meltable, if it is you can remove it by putting a paper towel on it and warming it with an iron or hairdryer and the paper towel will absorb it. acetone, which is in nail polish my take it off too but you have to try full strength available at home centers. let me know what works, gl.

usually glue traps come with instructions for releasing the mice from them. I believe what they say is to use warm water to remove the mice. I guess that is out of the question unless you want your phone dead.

Goo Gone is a pretty good product, it's normally available in little bottles at the hardware store, you could try it. That glue on those traps is nasty stuff, we were required to use them at work because they wouldn't let us use snap traps, I remember stepping on one and going around for probably a week with one shoe trying to stick to the floor...oy. So I feel for you.

Try spraying it with cooking spray, just don't get it inside the phone. Tape up the holes and contacts before you spray. The oil should make it come off.

How about using an ammonia cleaner, like Mr. Clean or Top Job or Windex?
