I am someone who is upper middle class who has voted against my economic interests. I was able to move from poverty to my current SES because of government funded educational programs thoughout my childhood. I was lucky enough to live in a town with two major colleges, and went to programs at both. I eventually graduated from one of these colleges thanks to Pell Grant programs and the like. Sadly, many of these were cut tremendously my last year in school. So I vote in support of programs like these, because I want to support as many dreams as I can. Which in the end, does help me economically because it betters my community (i.e. no one steals from me!) Also, my parents still live in relative poverty. I thank God everyday my father is a Veteran, and while I support him, I have no problem supporting others like him who need our support.

Middle class people have been voting Democrat for years even though this is illogical. Raising the minimum wage helps teenagers and McDonalds workers and hurts about 299 million people in the US. Yet if you ask a large percent of people will say they are in favor of an increase. How many people will vote for a raise in taxes even though the only beneficiary is the lazy person who failed to graduate from high school and therefore is in the priviledged class of the the 0% percent tax rate. The answer is that they are ignorant of economics.

I have and will vote against my own economic welfare for the benefit of my country ,same as I put my country before my life when I spent 23 years in the U,S,M,C, many more men did the same and many are still doing so , I have always been taught the majority always comes before the individual, I always hoped I would live to see my children raised and on their own , but, even then my life was not as important as my country, however I have been doing a lot if thinking in the last few years, and I am asking if these people are worth it , what I am seeing is a lot of homo's and the rest are weaklings who I think their mothers fed them to much soy when they were growing up and now they are ;ussys,
and put more emphasis's on being P.C, THAN STANDING FOR WHAT IS RIGHT,I feel most hide behind this charade because they are to scared and weak to stand like a man,and say what they think ,our forefathers would do a flip in their graves if they knew what kind of men we have today, any man who won't give his life to protect his family and country is not worth a damn , and at this point I had rather depend on the women than the men, or should I say wossies?

Answerman in response to your statement , I had rather vote Rep, than a commie, as I have at least thought I spent many years fighting them, even tho I think i was fighting for them sometimes and Dem's with their welfare and freebie programs are no less that communisim, Rep's also have their own bad programs so why do we vote for either, why not vote for the man instead of the party, maybe independant would be better , but, to many people listen to our Zionist owned new's media and T,V, and think what they say is bibical, so unless they get smart we will always have the worst representatives to represent us,

Your question is codeword for "why don't we vote for COMMUNISM".

The answer is simple. It's in NOBODIES best interest to have communism. Capitalism has created more wealth and prosperity than any other economic system in the history of man. Want to become North Korea? Then vote for communism.

Either guilt, or deception. Guilt concerning the plight of the poor. See government welfare. Deception concerning the economic advantage of a policy which in reality proves quite costly and unwise. See the current tax system.

The inability or absolute refusal to rationally guage the effects of their discisions. Take credit card debt for instance. How many of the people over $10,000 in credit card debt know how to create a budget to begin with?? Should we create a program to bail them out, too? These poor people aren't responsible for their impulse purchases, are they? (Answer: we're ALL responsible for our own situations, including the poor)

If they were voting for something they believed in and wanted to see done. I like to believe that money is not the only motivator of every voter out there. If it is, we are in a sad state of affairs.
