You need to see a different counselor.
And when you do, be perfectly honest with him/her and yourself.
Your life doesn't have to be like this. You have lots of work ahead of you, but you'll be glad you did it.

You can change your outlook on life by getting in a really good workout at least 3 times a week. Excercise releases endorphins (feel good chemicals) into your bloodstream. It is very possible that you are not getting enough of those chemicals. Once you start to feel better you might want to try new things. Take a class on something that interests you, learn a language, meet new people by getting involved with things. Maybe volunteer in your community. All those things will help you out of your rut. I can promise you that if you do those things you will be a whole new person at this time next year. You could probably stop making your counselor rich and pocket your money instead.

To want to get life is a noble but vague request. I see that you want friendship and companionship with other, but what do you really want to be, no matter what people think of you? It may be a difficult question, definitely not one to be made on a whim, but don't worry. At 17 you have plenty of time to figure out the answer. You said counseling didn't help, which I can relate to because it didn't help me, medication neither. But I always find it is easier and more enjoyable and fruitful to relate to others when you go into a situation with confidence. Your words about you are so self-defeating, expectant of failure. That will make you come off as a bore, buzz kill and bad with women.
Bottom Line: You must redefine "LIFE" for yourself in order to change your view of it.

I can completely relate, not in your persona, but in not wanting to change. There are so many things, that I want to change, and I want to stop being so negative towards life, but I just don't want to change. I don't know if it's because it will take effort, or because I just want to stay miserable. But I know that if I want to change it, I'll have to want to, and put all my effort into it. You really do just need to put effort into it, and want to do it, and not give up. You have to change your outlook, look at the world every morning, and tell yourself it's a beautiful place, full of wonderful people and oppertunities. good luck and I hope you really do change it, because once you do, you'll be so much happier. Love yourself, too, because that's a big part of being happy and living a full life, without it, you're only half a person, full of anger and despair.

Because people get into ruts, and behavior becomes habit forming, it is difficult to change. Best to change while you are young, as it becomes that much harder as you get older.
--- Practice new habits.
