Well I'm from Georgia and I spent most of my life here and I can say that my best friend in High school was Black so I guess it all depends on what part of the south you go to like the big city's yes chances are you may see allot of that but if you go to the small towns you'll be very shocked because everyone knows each other and most every one gets along with one another.

So I guess it just all depends on what part of the states in the south that your in.

I have lived in the South and NYC, too. Do you remember when Danny Glover sued the Taxi Cap Association because he could not get a cab? And the shooting of a black man by white cops written about in Malcom Gladwell's book Blink? Or what about the Rodney King riots in LA?

Stereoptypes die hard, even stereotypes about stereotypes.

I live in NYC and im happy i do! I hardly ever see much racism (well ive seen small degrees of racism, but no yelling or anything) until ive been on the internet and exposed to the true horrors. :(

It is because when people are surrounded by other racists they tend to agree with whats around them.

Because they are less educated. If you notice, when you have knowledge about something you dont fear it, nor do you behave ignorantly towards it. Also some people are scared of change, and since the freaking slave days, some people still believe we should live like that cuz they dont know any better. And some black people still have a chip on their shoulders because of slavery even though many werent born when it existed. So whose fault is it, everyones.
