Niagara Falls, New York, right across the Niagara River. After that, Rochester and Syracuse. Don't plan any trips there this time of year unless you're really tall. Buffalo just got nine feet of snow.

Toronto is also pretty close to Buffalo..(and a little more exciting) a little under an hour and a half.. depending on how fast you drive.
