any brand is usually good for a beginner as long as it is easy to play for you and is cheap, most people go YAY im getting a guitar and they have one go and dont like it, therefor you havent wasted money on an expansive guitar. the really good brands are pretty dear, if you are buying a beginners electric guitar it costs about $300 with a small amp and cable and strap, if you are buying a beginners acoustic guitar it costs about $100. i suggest you should go cheap for your first guitar if you are a begginer, then if you are good & love playing and feel you need an expansive one you buy one!

If they weren't "good," they wouldn't be "big brands."
