Lust = a desire attain that is so overwhelming that it causes one to disregard all caution and safety, reason or sense. It is full of anxiety and desperation.
Love = the inspiration for existence: the irresistable driving force behind nature that causes everything to be what it is. When you love someone it feels good and right, not mischeivous or naughty; you feel secure and whole, not anxious or desperate; you don't tremble, you don't flinch, and you're sure of yourself. Love is a concious decision to care.

hmmmm that's a hard one but if you love someone you just love being around them and enjoy their company and when you think about them it makes you smile so if you don't feel any of that than maybe it is just attraction or lust.

It's hard for all people to tell. Sadly most of us figure out that we love someone after we are no longer with them. You know-You never know what you have until it's gone!
It happens to all of us until we learn how to recognize the difference between the two feelings. That i guess come with wisdom, and wisdom comes with time!!
