...when two mechanics accidentally touch each others' lips while eating a snickers and then trying to shake it off...

Why don't gay people allow the possibility that certain things can be gross and funny to normal i.e. heterosexual people and just let it be? Or is it because they like the word "boycott?"

Well because in my experience most (not all!) gay people have a double standard. It’s all right for them to parade around the fact that they like people of the same sex. But if someone disagrees with them on pretty much any issue then there immediately labeled as backward and a hate monger. I think the gay community likes to forget the fact that the same piece of paper that gives them the right to be gay and not persecuted also gives one the right to have an opinion that differs from theirs. So too bad, if someone has a problem with the commercial, GET OVER IT. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m off the store to buy a Snicker.

Normal People? What the hell is a normal person? Still haven't figured out that people are all different? They have their own tastes, morals, beliefs, dreams, etc. Oh yeah thats right you let advertising give you your identity! Should I start thinking of you hetero people as a number? So some hetero find it funny to bash gays? Doesn't mean I have to bow to it. Too bad I already don't eat candy. I can choose not to buy mars candy and you can choose to watch your stupid ad and shut up.

it variety of sounds such as you will not be able to do something these days with out offending somebody. we've replace right into a manner of existence of apologizers, being pressured to speak or act a definite way or face being sued for saying what we expect of. As for the Snickers advert, I observed it and yet it replace into relaxing. not snort out loud humorous, yet relaxing. Homophobic? in basic terms by skill of people who see homophobes at the back of each and every tree. i'm a splash uncertain however how pulling out chest hair is manly.

While it may be funny to some people, it is offensive and not PC. Even if I was heterosexual I would have been offended by that commercial. Insensitivity like that is unacceptable in all forms, not just to "gay" people. People get angry when they are portrayed in a negative light no matter who they are. I think it is justified that there was an outcry. "We" would be a lot more likely to be accepting of people thinking some things like that are gross and funny to "normal" people (which is a relative term) if people were more accepting of us in general.

Because 95% of people know right from wrong and thought that funny. That hurts the 5% or less that feel it is not funny.
But when a theater full of people laugh at the same time at something like this I think it is pretty obvious it is outside of the "norm"

Only the oversensitive ones behaved that way. Many of the Gays I know thought the commercial was funny.

GLAAD got upset about it. I didn't find it homophobic. I thought it was actually making fun of homophobic straight guys.

snickers essentially portrayed the idea that men kissing is apparently gross and unacceptable.. if this is their attitude, then i certainly don't see any reason to associate myself with them or their product. morals and values are very important to me, and i tend to avoid companies that hold values and beliefs that differ significantly from mine.

and even worse, snickers is junk food. it is unhealthy. it will make you fat and ugly, just like the two actors in that ad!
