It is very sensitive and if I don't sit down very gently it causes me a lot of pain. It happens every month about a week after my period, does anyone know what causes this, and if there is a cure or treatment for it???

Yes, this is normal. You should feel it on one side or the other. To me it feels like a clamp is on my ovary, or a pinching feeling. You are simply feeling your eggs releasing. This is very normal. Not everyone gets it. You are actually very lucky, because this helps you keep track of your cycle. For me, ibuprophen, tylenol or advil helps...

I suffered from ovulation pain that severely also. It was more like two weeks before my next period. My Dr said it was normal for me to be in that much pain. Mine only last any where from one hour to eight it just depended on the month.

What it means is you are low in your progesterone, which can cause all manner of problems. To fix it you need to boost your progesterone. To do that, you can either eat a LOT of organic yams or you can use a yam cream. I use a yam cream and here is a link to it: http://www.mynsp.com/carole/products/guide.aspx?stockNum=4936

With that much discomfort you could probably use 2 tubes a month for the first 1-3 months and then ease off to the usual 1 per month. If you are interested and have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me.

Peace!

Yes, but not that severe. You should go see a doctor or call an advice nurse. You may have something wrong with your ovaries and if it is that painful it probably needs to be taken care of soon. Listen to your body, girl!

I hope you feel better. :-( Sorry that you're in pain.
