like sneakers or skate shoes,what's the deal?Wouldn't your feet hurt at the end of the day? I don't think guys do this.

Well really your feet will hurt in almost any shoe if you walk around in them long enough. Depending on the shoe, your foot may hurt more without the extra padding that socks provide. Some shoes call for really thin socks and sometimes, depending in the time of year and shoe and outfit combination, it is preferable to go without socks. However, to prevent sweaty feet that stink, stick to the shoe, and ruin the shoe, I STRONGLY advise that you sprinkle baby powder inside the shoe. Not so much that it's a thick layer but enough so that's it's pretty evenly and thinly coated. Try it sometime. It's nice.

why would ur feet hurt? it could cause blisters n stuff that could cause ur feet to hurt.... i wear skate shoes....and i always wear socks...except i only wear the kind u can't see or the kind u can only see if ur actually standing over my feet looking down on them. those girls who don't wear socks....ewwwww that is so nasty.. but if i'm in a rush or something i would slip the shoes on real quick...and usually my feet stink...ew.
girls need to wear the socks...u kno there are socks at walmart called "no-show" which means u can't see them, try those!

That was a stupid fashion back in the early 1980s, made popular by rich, East Coast snobs who would be on their yachts wearing Spery Topsiders, who would later slip into other clothes for dinner. They wore no socks on the boat, and hence they just slipped on their leather shoes right over their bare feet.
Socks have a purpose: to keep your feet from rubbing against the shoe, to keep them cushioned, and to help keep them from sweating.

It's bad for your feet, causes callouses and corns, and usually makes your feet stink because they sweat. Im guessing a lot of girls do this because the majority of womens shoes do not require socks (heels, ballet flats etc)

I wear no socks only if I wear flats cause your not supposed to with flats and NO they don't get smelly unless you wear real shoes with no sock like VANS or skating shoes I always wear socks when I skate you can't skate with no socks those dudes and chiks who posted b4 me r weird. Well the one who wears vans with no socks yeah.

Several guys and girls where shoes with no socks, if the shoes are comfortable , your feet don't hurt? They may smell but that's our choice :)

i wear shoes all the time without socks. usually the shoes are a teensy bit bigger than my feet though, so i dont have to worry about blisters. but you do have to worry about odor....
sometimes girls, and guys, just wear ankle socks, ones that go really low, so that you cant see them even if your wearing low top converse

Some girls feet hurt without wearing socks and they get blisters. But i wear my socks :)

I'm a guy and I do. Sometimes i run without socks. I hate socks, they are so constricting and obnoxious, and you shouldn't have a problem with your feet hurting, or at least i never have.

Most guys I see are normally wearing really low socks or no socks. I think it looks kind of dorky when they are high. I wear socks but they don't go above my ankles.
