Well, this next year I want to get a new stick, but I am not sure which one. I really am impressed with the Nike Bauer xxx-lite but I also like the Easton synergy sl and the stealth cnt grip. Which one of these or maybe even a fourth option is the best?

Jeff P, the Stealth and Vapor XXX are not made of a bonded shaft and blade like the Synergy SL. Those designs execute a co-molding of the shaft and blade to remove the hosel-to shaft element of the original Synergy design and lighten the stick on the blade side.

I wish I knew what you were currently using. That would really help in suggesting what the next step should be.

As it stands, you really can't go wrong with any of your selections. The Vapor and Stealth are purer shooting sticks and the SL is basically a lighter weight evolution of the Synergy. As for a 4th one-piece suggestion, you might consider the Warrior Dolomite which you could call a more durable SL.

As long as you stay away from TPS (too brittle), RBK (loglike weight and feel) and other fringe brand one-piece sticks, you should be ok.

Well, think about more then just promotions and brands. the composite one piece sticks are made in 2 pieces, the blade and the shaft. The composite shafts are the key to those sticks, many players like the feel of wood blades much more. since 2 piece and 1 piece sticks are pretty close, the wood blade/ composite shaft setup is very good. Gretzky used that setup for a stick. As for the grip, you can buy them or even make your own. rubber bands under tape makes a good one, easy to hold and grip.

the 2 piece is also a much cheaper setup. Also, if you break the blade, you don't have to buy a new stick.

Zapcity- Really? that's progress. I still think 2 pieces are better in most regards though.

Personally I think the Easton Synergy is the best. I have had mine for over 3 years with no breakage. My Louisville TPS and Bauer TRI FLEX all broke within 1 year. Good luck.

i personally would go with the nike. it is a light stick easy to handle and well made. but it all depends on what you are doing with it. if ur gnna play street hockey dont get an expensive one get a light wooden stick. if it is ice hockey get the nike.
