degrade Jews in his movie? I haven't seen it (I don't personally enjoy movies that have no useful messages) but people say that he proposes a trashy image of Jews. Why would he pick on Kazakhstan, with Russian Orthodox people anyway?

Sasha Baron Cohen, who played Borat, is a devout Jew. He made this movie in order to point out how there is so much anti-Semitism and bigotry is just under the skin of so many ordinary people. He's really quite brilliant, but if you don't understand what he's doing, the movie can be quite offensive.

Some people actually realize the difference between malice and its absence when it comes to humor. They aren't politically correct, and as a result, are allowed to have a sense of humor.

Movies are supposed to be an escape from the grind of everyday life. They are supposed to be an island where you can kick back and enjoy yourself. If you can't appreciate a movie which doesn't make an attempt to convey a "useful message", I truly feel sorry for you. This might be the reason you can't understand the concept of politically incorrect humor.

The actor is Jewish, the character Borat is not. The point of his degrading people is to make the audience hold a mirror to themselves & their prejudices. Did you know Sasha Baron Cohen did the voice of King Julien in Madagascar?

I think he is just finding a way to make a great comedy in his eyes. People tend to like movies with odd humor. I for one liked the movie a lot.

Satire. There is, unfortunately, lots of anti-semitism in Eastern Europe (and America for that matter!) and I see nothing wrong with criticizing it through absurd humour.
