It has to be the scene in "Alien" in which the soldiers come across the guy slimed to the wall, and the alien's head pops out of his gut. That has to be the most terrifying thing I've ever seen in a movie. The look on the guy's face of absolute agony and fear sticks with me like a bad dream. I couldn't watch the movie at all after that moment. I still haven't seen it all in one sitting, and I've tried to watch it straight thru at least 15 times. The most I can do in one sitting is about 20 minutes because it is so frightening. I get to that one point in the movie, though, and I hit the fast forward button.

probably the main used word is "get out of there." A scene this is often used is while somebody seems in a mirror, then quickly seems away, then seems decrease back interior the mirror and BAM! the "evil one" is now at the back of them. Or stupid human beings taking a candle right into a drafty basement rather of a flashlight. Or while the horror creature gets shot, and the just about sufferer lays down the gun, and (of direction) the horror creature rises up back. basically once you theory it became risk-free to flow decrease back into the water.

Mine was in the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre when the blonde guy is being forced down the stairs, and he's so desperate to stop the guy that he digs his fingernails into the wall and they're yanked off. I'm getting an upset tummy just thinking about it.

When the movie Alien came out - and the scene where the creature popped out of the guy's chest when the crew were eating. Scared the $%^& out of me cause up to that point in time - horror movies were not that graphic.
By the movies of today, its now a tame scene.

In "The Changling" when George C. Scott plays back the tape of the seance and hears the dead boy's voice crying out for help. Very chilling.
