True. A square is a rectangle but a rectangle is not a square. A square has 4 equal sides, a rectangle does not have equal sides. A square is a rectangle because a rectangle is a 4 sided figure which in sides across from each other are parallel, a square has 4 sides and the sides across from each other are parallel!

True.
A rectangle is any closed, 4 sided, 2 dimensional shape, where all four corners are 90 degree angles. A square is the special case of a rectangle where the length and the width are equal. But a rectangle is NOT a square, unless it's sides are equal.

True. A square is a rectangle because a rectangle is a shape that has 4 sides in which the opposite sides are parallel. But a square is an "exclusive rectangle" because all of its sides are equal length.

True, a square is a rectangle.

A rectangle, by definition, is a four-sided figure (or quadrilateral) with parallel sides that are congruent. A square is a special kind of rectangle because all [parallel] sides are congruent to each other.
