go to the bank the check came from ,that's what I do when i cash checks .

you have to find a check cashing place. And you probably will pay a fee. If it is not a flat fee, it will be a percentage. Now a days, you can get free checking accounts...if you have a steady job, you can direct deposit, and the bank will waive all service fees. If you don't have a job, then you might want to think about finding a friend, or even a parent, that you can sign the check over to and let them take it out of their bank.

You can usually cash a check at the bank that is listed on the check that you want to cash.

Take it to the bank where the account is. They will cash it.
You won't have to pay the service charge that the check cashing places get.

There are tons of them in Manhattan, just look them up in the yellow pages. You just need a drivers license. They usually charge a percentage of the check amount.

an ID is required. they all charge too much. get a bank account, it is worth it. those places are a rip off.

go to any grocery store.. buy like a stick of gum and hand them your check they'll cash it sometimes they take out like 3 bucks though depending on the store its stupid i donno why they do it but they do so go to like a smaller store around your town
