Can a vector quantity be negative?

a vector in a 3D space has 3 components, they all could be < 0

some scalars can be negative ,in physics work, temperature in celsius scale may be negative.When direction of a vector is reversed it becomes negative e.g if force F is 5 newton east then -F is 5 newton west
